2023 KRCC Santa Picture Project
Union State Bank partners with WRT every Christmas to help bring holiday cheer to the residents of Knife River Care Center in Beulah.
On December 6th, Santa Claus made his way through every hall of KRCC bringing joy to the residents. Every resident had the opportunity to take a picture with Santa, tell him what they want for Christmas, and received a gift. The gift being a Hershey’s chocolate bar, which residents eagerly broke open and enjoyed. WRT’s Marketing Assistant, Janel Lynne, snapped pictures of each resident while Union State Bank’s, Marketing Officer Kate Weigel, played Santa’s helper providing chocolate bars. The pictures taken by WRT were then printed and given to KRCC in hard copy form, for the residents to receive.
These pictures are hung in some of their rooms year round.
This is a project WRT and USB enjoy doing every year. The joy that is shared through the halls of residents and staff is abundant and showcases the true spirit of Christmas. Listening to Santa sing through the halls, residents sharing an embrace with Santa as they tell stories of when they were little or even the quiet Christmas wishes residents ask Santa for. These are special moments that local businesses are happy to help create and offer to the people of KRCC.
